Does anyone subscribe to any one of these concealed carry insurance companies? If so what your take?

I am also interested in the answer to this question. In addition, I wonder if there are any particular places people go to get insurance to cover loss or theft of firearms and ammo.

I'm a member of Texas law shield. There's a thread somewhere on it. I like it. They have meetings all the time on your rights, answer any questions on any legal matters on gun laws and monthly news letter oh and cover you in legal or civil matters as long as your just.

If you are in Texas, Texas Law Shield has 70,000 members, so the law firm running it has a nice big defense fund for legal and civil cases.

Check with your homeowners ins carrier. They write personal items policies for jewelry, cameras, and also guns. Not likely ammo, though.

We signed up with them the day we took our CHL class.

Also check out NRA Second Call and the Armed Citizen Legal Defense Network. I like the DVD's that are sent for Armed Citizen Legal Defense Network. IMHO the DVD's are worth the enrollment fee. PM me if you want more details for Second Call or Armed Citizen Legal Defense Network

I second Armed Citizen Legal Defense Network.

They have a Facebook page and a website too.

So far they have been very responsive to any questions I've put to them.

Here's the short answer: YES! An average gun involved incident can easily run a minimum of $150k and much more (reference FL Zimmerman case).

The already mentioned programs like TX Law Shield, Second Call and Armed Legal Defense Fund are excellent and very cheap options. Be forewarned that your homeowners ins likely will not cover you, but even if they do Any insurance cannot by law pay for a felony crime defense. The only way they will pay is if/when you are acquitted and most have to declare bankruptcy long before that happens.

The USCCA, Inc. owns and pays for the policy while YOU, as a PLUS member, automatically get the benefits. This liability insurance policy is underwritten by the Savers Property and Casualty Insurance Company a subsidiary of the Meadowbrook Insurance Group. Meadowbrook Insurance Group, Inc. and its insurance company subsidiaries have been rated A- (Excellent) by A.M. Best Company.
