Nice in Missouri u cant go into any federal building anywhere else is ok though
An FDIC insured bank isn't a federal building. It's a private building with the deposits insured by a Government Sponsored Enterprise (GSE). GSEs are private corporations owned by stockholders, not the government. They're structured and regulated by the government to enhance credit availability and reduce borrowing costs.

FDIC isn't the only one...there's also the Farm Credit System, Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac, etc.

There should be no reason in any state, unless it's specifically included in the state statutes, you can't carry in a bank of any kind except for a federal reserve deposit bank...which you'd have almost no reason to ever go into.

The Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC) is a United States government corporation operating as an independent agency created by the Banking Act of 1933. As of January 2013, it provides deposit insurance guaranteeing the safety of a depositor's accounts in member banks up to $250,000 for each deposit ownership category in each insured bank. As of September 30, 2012, the FDIC insured deposits at 7,181[

TROY, MO. • Maybe the bank robber couldn’t see very well through the holes in his mask — the face of Chucky from the “Child’s Play” horror movies — as he walked into Peoples Bank & Trust Tuesday afternoon.

After all, it says right on the door that concealed weapons are allowed in the bank. They’re practically encouraged by the sign: “Management recognizes the Second Amendment to the U.S. Constitution as an unalienable right of all citizens.”

Not sure why my last post is tagged for approval by a moderator. Because I included a link, I guess? Anyway, you need to get your facts straight.

Banks in Missouri are PRIVATE institutions. They have not (yet) been Federalized. My funds there are FDIC insured.
The President/Owner of my local bank is a friend of mine. I carry there regularly, and will continue to do so. Bank 'outlets' in the local grocery store are no different.

Not trying to be a **** but its a government building clearly states on there web site it is operated as a independent co! Just cause they operate as a independent doesn't mean there not a government place! Thats like white guys acting black there still white get my point?

Off of the fdic web site-----> An independent agency of the federal government, the FDIC was created in 1933 in response to the thousands of bank failures that occurred in the 1920s and early 1930s. Since the start of FDIC insurance on January 1, 1934, no depositor has lost a single cent of insured funds as a result of a failure.

In WV we cannot carry on bank property period but a grocery store with a bank alcove I would think as long as you didn't pass there threshold would still be legal

Can you link me to this statute? I can't seem to find where bank carry is illegal. I'm in WV often and thought I had my bases covered.

From wvcdl's site:

Places Off Limits While Carrying

Although a CHL authorizes the licensee to carry statewide, other state laws restrict or prohibit the carrying of weapons, openly or concealed, in certain locations. Having a valid CHL is not a defense or exception to the prohibitions under West Virginia law on carrying in any of the following areas:

School buses (W.Va. Code § 61-7-11a(b))
Primary or secondary school-sponsored functions or events (W.Va. Code § 61-7-11a(b))
Courthouses (W.Va. Code § 61-7-11a(g))
Anywhere on the State Capitol Complex, including the grounds outside the buildings (W.Va. Code § 61-6-19(b))
Wherever signs are posted indicating weapon restrictions or where notice has been given by other means. (W.Va. Code § 61-7-14) However, a person is not subject to the misdemeanor penalty provided for a violation of any such restriction unless that person refuses to either leave or temporarily relinquish his or her weapon, upon being confronted about the violation.
The city hall, municipal auditorium, the civic center, and all parks and recreation buildings ad facilities, including recreation centers, playgrounds, swimming pools, dressing areas, tennis courts, parks and recreation areas and all other buildings, structures, facilities, and grounds thereof, owned or occupied by the City of Charleston (Charleston City Code § 78-165--grandfathered under preemption)

Any city-owned building, park or recreation area in the City of South Charleston (South Charleston City Code § 545.15--grandfathered under preemption)
In addition to these locations, federal law prohibits carrying in, among other places:
