Concealed Carry Holster Trouble

I am new to carrying. I have a G27 that is my new carry piece. I am having some difficulty finding a holster that doesn't print and is comfortable to wear. I live in South Florida and most of the year, I wear shorts and a T-Shirt. Any ideas for me? I am hoping for an IWB setup.

I carry mine in a smart carry holster. It's nice because it is sweat proof. (glocks are basically sweat proof anyway) Very nice and very comfortable. the only way someone can really tell it's there is if they are staring intently at your crotch and that is easily fixed with a longer t-shirt. (hence the name fat crotch, relevant to guns. nick name from my wife). I have worn it on really hot days with my shirt tucked in, with a hoplophobic boss. He never noticed... At first i thought i was getting ripped off because i look down and i could barely see the printing, but my wife said she couldn't even see it. Then i realized i live in an open carry state and didn't care about printing from their on... and my boss: a tool from Chicago that i no longer work for.

I carry a g23 iwb in a crossbreed super tuck and love it. I forget its even there most of the time, in jeans and a t shirt or polo no one even notices. You will soon find out that yes you can see it no matter what but 99.999 of people will not notice. Just read the posts of ocers carry and no one notices. You will get over this feeling the more you carry.

Thanks for the input. I truly appreciate it. My concern is that I do not want to get into trouble a a result of someone noticing. While I am aware that I will always be congrats of the fact that it is there, I obviously do not want to be noticed by others for it.

What's your body type and where do you position your holster? My left handed nephew is a slim 6'2" and carries at 8 O'clock

What type of belt do you guys recommend?

Body type:
5'8" tall. About 240 pounds. Former collegiate wrestler. My brother is the bench press world record holder. I've got a belly, but I am not the typical 5'8" 240 pound guy either...

I second the N82 i use a pro (kydex not the elastic one) here in SC hides it well enough and is comfortable enough to forget it's there. And I also carry a g27 w/ the pinky ext.

There are many good options out there. I settled on the crossbreed supetuck while my brother chose the Galco King Tuck. Both are similar and there are others of like design. A good gun belt will help as much as anything. Expect to play around with clothing changes and possible holster changes. A Hawaiian or Cuban shirt worn open might be an acceptable cover. Ultimately your style will determine how you carry and how you cover. If we all did it the same it would become a uniform and everyone would be able to pick us out. I had fun coming up with my choices, I hope you do too.

Living in Arizona it's shorts & T-shirts 90% of the time. KL Null Vam (Vampire) Crossdraw Driving Holster works best for me all year round. Can be worn sturdy on dress belt.

I carry Ruger's LCP and got one of the cell pal holsters. It looks like I have some kind of unnatural growth on my leg through pushing out on my pants leg. For me the look and feel is uncomfortable.

I recently tried a Bianchi Model 101 Foldaway Holster, which is just a piece of leather with slots that fit the belt; the belt functions as the inside of the holster. It was not expensive (the reason I tried it), holds the gun fine, and because it doesn't have the inside half, it holds the gun almost flush against my side with much less imprint problems. And since it's not a full fit holster and has an open bottom, it allows a bit of adjustment on the cant. I prefer concealed OWB and it was a lot better than I expected. An interesting innovation in holsters.

There are plenty of opinions on hot weather carry. When beginning to carry there are a few guidelines that must be kept in mind:

1. It is sometimes easier to change to your wardrobe to suit carrying your weapon than it is to find a carry style that suits your wardrobe.

There are a myriad of ways to carry a gun and many of them are suitable for just about every type and style of dress, there are a select few methods that work well with standard modes of dress. This does not mean you must change your entire style but it may mean selecting shorts with belt loops rather than running style shorts or changing your style to include shirts which work well untucked, polo shirts, cuban or hawaiian shirts come to mind. Adding a garment such as the famous "gun vest" or a light jacket helps as well.

2. Carrying a gun is not meant to be comfortable but comforting.

Guns are for the most part, heavy, bulky and inconvenient. These factors can be mitigated through selection of both gun, equipment and clothing but never eliminated.

3. A few good quality holsters and a good quality belt will be more comfortable and conceal better than a bunch of cheap gear.

There are many "gimmick" carry methods that are offered online and at gunshows but most are designed for particular cases or situations and may not work well as an every day carry method. These should be avoided until you have some carry experience and quite a few should be avoided entirely. Trying out different carry methods with inexpensive holsters (and a good belt) then finding a high quality holster in the style that works best for you will save you a good deal of money in the long run.
