Concealed Carry-able Clothing

I was wondering how many of you have purchased modified clothing articles in which you might frequently wear and carry your concealable weapon as opposed to a iwb or shoulder rig holster?

I purchased a really neat oilskin Trailblazer jacket from Outback that includes a zippered concealment pocket running nearly shoulder-to-waist on the left side and has a wide elastic retaining band to holster your handgun. It is a bit too hot to wear when the outside temperature nears 70 F, however, and I still haven't found something for warmer weather.

What do you all wear, and what recommendations do you have? I'm interested in shirts and lightweight jackets, mostly, and NO VELCRO! I hate the idea of announcing you are ripping open a hidden compartment by the sound of hook-and-loop tape sewn into pockets. Has anyone had success with the magnetic type closures?

I wear OWB open.

At work, winter time: I have 25-30 pocket t's in varying colors and around 50 flannel shirts of varying colors. T with flannel un-tucked over the top.

At work, summer time: I have 25-30 pocket t's in varying colors and about 75 Hawaiian shirts of varying colors (cheap at Goodwill stores). T with Hawaiian un-tucked over the top.

Thanks, gfrlaser for your comment.
I guess there is not much interest out there for clothing lines that have built-in concealable handgun containment.

I understand that many people might be leary of taking off their jacket indoors while it contains their self-defensive weapon, for fear of being separated -even momentarily- from it, so I guess the lack of interest.
Sure, we can simply just wear our iwb carry all covered up with a T shirt and loose overshirt, but I still haven't found this to be the most practical for a professional workplace environment.

Although speciality clothing like you mention may be helpful in some specific situations, I wouldnt trust any of those methods alone. The simlple fact is in the soft material there is much fully preventing the trigger from being pulled. If you spend some time googling holsters and accidental / negligent discharges this is problematic with bad holsters too.

I wouldnt say that. I work white collar in a business casual environment. Im currently wearing a full sized gun and shoulder rig and extra mags under a short sleeve button down shirt. Granite it wont work with all shirts but a little forward thinking with ordering a size larger as well as assuring its not see through isnt too much trouble.

I always wear a button up plaid or print shirt over a tank t in summer or crew t in winter. The plaid and print designs help disguise the printing problem. Not so much with a plain color shirt.

Agreed and yes shirts w patterns do help break up the outline. I do have some solid shirts that are dark enough that work fine though. Also I wanted to add shirts w snaps instead of buttons help making access your CCW easier.

For warm weather wear, the Guayabera shirt is one of the best for concealed carry. The shirt comes in both long and short sleeves and leaves plenty of room around the waist so you don't imprint. I used to wear them when in Panama and you can have a good selection of materials and colors. Not very appropriate for colder climates however.
