Conceal Carry in Virginia - quick question

First post, so right off I'd just like to say hello and ask a (hopefully) quick question. I did a brief check of the forums but did not see a similar issue so here goes...

Back in January of 2010 I filled out all my paperwork to get a concealed carry permit in Virginia. This included a certificate from a firearms safety course I took online (I have been shooting for years, but never took a course until the need for on came up as a provision of the conceal carry application process). Due to circumstances, some beyond my control (injury), I never actually submitted any of the paperwork to the State of Virginia. Is this something that I can go back an do now (submit the existing paperwork) or should I start fresh and have everything re-notarized etc. Nothing has changed with regard to the information collected (name, address etc etc). but I wasn't sure if there was a time limit on when applications needed to be turned in by. Thanks in advance!

The training certificate would still be useable. If the app is already notorized, you'd need to get it redone. If you've got the PDF of the form and your old app, it should be a breeze. The clerk at the Circuit Courts office is a Notary, so they'll be able to notarize it there and you won't have to pay fees for a different notary. Just don't sign/date it until you're in front of the clerk.
