Conceal Carry in Philadelphia, PA?

Hi everyone,

Hopefully someone from PA and preferably from Philadelphia can help me out. I will be getting my PA permit very soon. I don't live in Philadelphia and my county is pretty simple when it comes to getting a carry permit. I already have my FL permit from when I used to live there. Don't know if that applies, but I figured I'd throw that info out there.

My question is, if I have my PA carry, are there any Philadelphia specific restrictions? I looked at the law but as always, it's vague and convoluted to my simple brain. I often have to go to Philly for work and would definitely feel more comfortable if I could bring my carry weapon with me.

You can cc in Philly. You can't open carry there or in Pitt. The law for PA CC is the same there except open carry.

Incorrect.

You cannot open carry in Philadelphia WITHOUT AN LTCF. That's a STATE law, not a local one.

Everywhere else in Pennsylvania you can open carry WITHOUT an LTCF.

There is NO city or town in Pennsylvania which bars open carry. They don't have the legal authority.
