When Navy posts the EXACT wording of the law regarding the subject of this or any thread, I believe he does so that people can read it (the law) for themselves and make an informed decision if indeed this law applies to their situation. Only the individule reading the law for himself (herself) knows all the facts regarding their unique situation.
I am gratefull that Navy and others know how to and regulary post a link where the information can be found. I have learned a great deal from him(and others) where and when I can carry. He (and others) are actually doing those of us who are not as knowledgeable about commputers a service. Thank You!

Many of the flights to Florida go through NYC and even as a county issued NYS CCL it is not valid in NYC and it would cause a whole world of trouble for me. It's mostly my paranoia about taking the handgun that I own on the plane combined with any flights that go through NYC. I am a firm believer in getting any and all information before planning a trip and having a handgun, it's common sense to be prepared. I will look for different flights that avoid the city in a few months when we will be planning out our trip. Thank you again for all the legal information it really helped me understand why and I really appreciated it. Thanks again for all the information.

Even if you do go thru NYC as long as you don't have to take possession of your luggage you wouldn't have a problem.
