I bought my gun about 2 months ago an I'm just wondering if I'm the only one that is having as many issues as I'm having??
Take down lever not staying in place
Spring in one of the clips was bent
And it can be kinda tricky sliding the gun back together after cleaning it??

I have 2 M&P's and both have the takedown lever symptom you describe. You just have to push the guide rod toward the barrel when your slide is back, and the takedown lever will go down and stay. It's really a non-issue and probably 80% do it.

I had a similar problem with a S&W M&P 9c that I recently purchased. The takedown lever would pop back instead of staying in place like my other M&P's (I'm a fan, I have four of them..) I found the solution on the S&W forum; remove the takedown lever (it just slides out if you twist it just right) then remove a very small bump from the flat surface. Once the surface has been filed completely flat the lever will stay down as it should. Here's the link to the post: take down lever Post #14 is your answer there.

Can't help you with the spring problem or mating the slide but that should fix you up with the annoying takedown lever.

ok, I have an M&P9C and I do not have that issue.

I would send it in to Smith and Wesson. Mine is 4 months old.
