Comfortable IWBC

First, live in South Carolina; July, August 50+s days, heat index 100 +s. avg. daily humid. 96%.Looking for super lightweight t/body shirt to make IWB comfortable.Raw leather or other material just creates a sweat pocket and becomes very uncomfortable very quickly.Wearing outside with cover shirt to hot.Looking for slim fitting, super lightweight, holds no heat, strap shoulders as little material as possible.
Not kidding, know I can't get all but have any of you found anything that comes close??

Seems to me like IWB is more uncomfortable and hot that OWB. Maybe a remora type holster?

I live in SC too and carry 24/7. I carry both a G43 and a Sig P320 with an extended mag. I use an AIWB holster from ANRDesign. It is a custom museum holster and does a great job with concealing.

I now use a Cook's Kydex holster, it is comfortable to me. The rigidity does not bother me carrying it in the appendix position as I normally do. I have tried the hip and that works too. I have not been in high humidity and heat so my limited experience out in a serious heat is limited. I have some Hybrid, Leather and Kydex, and synthetic and Kydex and they have never made me happy. Holsters are so personal. They say Horsehide leather is more comfortable and sweat resistant, I have some, but cannot verify that statement personally. Mine has two clips and I never found a 'sweet spot for the holster I liked.

With the Cook's I can remove the holster with the gun in it and put holster gun and all back in place later. Like going into the Post Office or Courthouse as a example. Love the clip. Others use the same clip and fasten it to the holster well, others, not so well and you lose a lot of wider belt room. I also tried to buy a holster from Cooks for a 327 LCR thinking a 357 would work. They told me no it would not work and they did not have a "Blue" gun to make one with. They could have just sent me the 357 holster and let me live with it. I appreciate that.

After a year or so, I did eventually find that Crossbreed had a "Blue" Gun and bought a IWB and a OWB slide holster from them. The OWB rides high and hides easily under a untucked Tee Shirt.

At one time I considered appendix carrying IWB but my stomach prevents that option. I ran across this video today showing an IWB carrier using that style but after watching it, I no longer have either the desire or ability the appendix carry. I have never seen this on here before so I thought I would post it for general information.

I don't care, I'll carry appendix style. Yes I have a big stomach too. I ONLY put my gun in the IWB holster with the holster out of the belt then I put gun and holster in place. That way nothing gets inside the holster other than the gun. Guns don't just go off something triggers the event and that something is usually called a Trigger

I agree with rick9748 that maybe you should consider OWB carry as an option. I have five Crossbreed Supertuck IWB holsters for various guns I've owned. They advise getting horsehide rather than cowhide if sweat is a problem for you. I suffer from something called hyperhydrosis, so I sweat easily and I sweat a lot. Given that, I followed Crossbreed's advice and always ordered the horsehide holsters. I can't really compare them to the cowhide since I never had a cowhide IWB holster, but my Supertucks manage my sweat quite well. And I've spent many hours outside on very hot days. Had a heat index of 130 degrees one very long and uncomfortable day when I worked on a rescue squad at a medieval reenactment sort of event. Sure the holster got a little sweaty, but it never rubbed, never got clammy, and never leaked moisture to the other side where the gun was.

As an aside, I also recommend Hawaiian shirts for carry on hot days. They breath great and stay cool. The patterns make it very difficult for your gun to print noticeably, and if you get it one size larger than normal you could hide an artillery piece underneath. Just food for thought. I know some people hate them.

It was 90 degrees yesterday and I carried AIWB with shorts and two T-shirts, one inside the WB and the other a cover shirt. Carried my Wilson EDC x9 with a TT Gunleather Appendix Carry Reinforced AIWB. Amazing holster. I also have a Hidden Holster AIWB that's a combination of leather backing and Kydex front for the Wilson that is good for some clothes that I would be wearing. Both are good holsters. For an OWB I have a Tucker in leather that's very comfortable but it takes the right clothing to properly conceal it due to being outside the belt.

Nice gun, at 4" I think that is a little long for me. My 3.5" Officers model with a leather High Noon holster, is about as long as I want. I do have a new Cook's IWB inbound, for a M&P40C 3.6" and I'll try that as my longest AIWB carry combo. Longer might be uncomfortable for me

Yes I like the Wilson.
