My wife and I just moved to Columbus, Ohio. We haven't had much time to research the local gun stores and ranges. Does anybody have any stores or ranges they would recommend? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Good luck on your new home in Columbus. It's a very nice area to live in.

I did get a ticket on U.S.33 in Columbus on my way to Chicago on May 9, 1992. But that's another story! :bad:

The powder room on 750 in Powell. Haven't been there in the better part of a decade. It used to be a real hole. Not sure what it's like now.

L.E.P.D. On bethel road just west of 315. Brand new facility. Prices are a bit steep.

There is a range out in New Albany that is also very nice. Haven't been there in a while.

Blackwing on 36 a little west of Delaware. Nice facility. Also have outdoor trap and skeet.

Norton Sporting goods on 229 up towards Waldo. Little tiny gun shop about two miles from the Delaware state park outdoor range.

Vance's shooter supply on Cleveland ave south of Morse rd. Not a range, but a nice big gun store.

Happy shopping and shooting!

You might also try the Ohioans For Concealed Carry forums or the Buckeye Firearms Association forums. I live in the Dayton area, so I can't help you much as far as Columbus goes. You may see me on the OFCC forums sometimes though if you join there. There's also an Ohio subforum here that might get you some more direct attention on Ohio specific questions in the future. If you're new to Ohio, the e-book linked in my signature might be helpful.

The Delaware state park range is a 30-35 minute drive from US23 and I270 on the north side of Columbus... If traffic is OK. 23 can be a bit of a stop and go nightmare at times.
