Hi All,
Colorado's absurd new magazine laws hit shotguns like every other gun with a magazine. Specifically, the law prohibits:
A FIXED, TUBULAR SHOTGUN MAGAZINE THAT HOLDS MORE
THAN TWENTY-EIGHT INCHES OF SHOTGUN SHELLS, INCLUDING ANY
EXTENSION DEVICE THAT IS ATTACHED TO THE MAGAZINE AND HOLDS
ADDITIONAL SHOTGUN SHELLS; OR
A NONTUBULAR, DETACHABLE MAGAZINE, BOX, DRUM, FEED
STRIP, OR SIMILAR DEVICE THAT IS CAPABLE OF ACCEPTING MORE THAN
EIGHT SHOTGUN SHELLS WHEN COMBINED WITH A FIXED MAGAZINE.
So how would the KelTec KSG be measured with this? It holds six 3 inch shells in two separate magazines. Neither magazine seems to exceed what is allowable under the law and you have to manually switch between the magazines (there is a switch).
Thoughts?
