Colorado has passed laws for backround checks on all guns purchased online or offline. Also they passed a 15 round limit on magazines.

:triniti:

that sucks
i don't like these new bs gun laws they slowly chipping away at our constitutional rights till one day we won't have any at all :(

Actually, the Colorado HOUSE passed the measures. The Senate still has to debate them. It ain't over yet.

From what I understand, the Colorado Senate is Socialist controlled as well. Now it's going to come down to who is going to comply, or should I say; "Those who will refuse to comply"... People better start drawing lines in the sand before the beach gets washed away.

I hate when people start a post saying new law passed when it just passed a committee or the House or Senate and hasn't even been signed yet. They need to start showing that cartoon again,"I'm just a Bill".

MN is in a rough patch the laws debated would make it as bad as New York or worse. 7 round limit and not grandfathering in. Any assault weapon after feb 1st bust be sold or forfeited and any before than must be registered with annual fees, pictures and check ups from the police to see how it's stored.

Anytime they want to reduce how many rounds you can have in a mag it is never a good thing. And if the crooked ass Government can find away to make more money off of you such as fees for this and fees for that well they will do it. All I can say is if someone comes threw my door to take my **** I will defend with all I have. I will not let anyone take away my right and my families right to bear arms. As for my home and my property all trespassers will be shot on sight. As for these counties and states trying to pass laws that require people to register this and register that people need to stand up and file lawsuits for invasion of privacy. Just my thoughts on it.

And the BS laws won't stop one crime, won't save one good citizen.

In fact, more citizens will be victimized and hurt when the BGs have superior firepower.

Did you see the photo they published with the article of the legislator showing off her self defense whistle (she looks a bit like Hetty, but acts nothing like Hetty!)?

Another Colorado legislator, John Salazar, has said that call boxes and whistles are sufficient to protect young women from rape:

And you don’t know if you feel like you’re gonna be raped, or if you feel like someone’s been following you around or if you feel like you’re in trouble when you may actually not be, that you pop out that gun and you pop … pop a round at somebody," Salazar said on the floor of the House.

“It’s why we have call boxes, it’s why we have safe zones, that's why we have the whistles," said Salazar.

MAGPUL, please come to Oregon, or even possibly Washington.

Isn't Washington the state that wants to allow Police to enter the home of law abiding gun owners without a warrant so they can "look around"? If I were making the decisions for MAGPUL, Washington state wouldn't be at the top of the list of places to consider for relocation.

Better then what we got here in NYS

I too live behind the iron curtain of NY.
My answer to you is: NO IT IS NOT!

They may be able to legally load more bullets that we can but the difference is like being punched in the face vs punched in the throat. You have still been punched.
You either take the punch or you defend your self.
If you accept this crap and don't fight it, you have lost.

It is looking pretty bad, I contacted my house rep at least 5 times. I didn't get a single firm answer on where he stood until the day they passed the second reading from one of his aides. The aide informed me that he was planning on supporting the measures "because they have to do something" I asked what that planned on having happen and asked how they thought these measures would work. The aide told me that he understood that the laws likely wouldn't have any effect, but if they do than it is worth supporting...(so they know it won't work but are voting it through anyway).

Joe Biden has been contacting a lot of the state dems to try to get them on board with the control ideas. The dems believe that Colorado will be their bell weather state to see if they can cram this crap through elsewhere.

I've moved on and started calling and emailing my state senator. Apparently there are 2 dems on the fence about the laws...one more and it can be stopped. So I'm going to keep hammering away with emails and phone calls daily. Magpul has contact information up on their websites(facebook) for Colorado legislators and the governor if you want to give them your 2 cents and tell them about how you WERE going to plan a elk hunt here...but after their 2A attitude you changed your mind...

On the magpul leaving the state issue...i hope they don't have to, but hope they do if this crap passes. And for everyone begging them to "come to my state/city/town"...it won't do you any good. Magpul products and mags are just as hard to get here as everywhere else in the country right now...and in the past. The best thing to have happen is the bans get voted down and Magpul stays in CO and continues producing pmags at record rate so that they can get them into as many hands as possible. If they end up moving you can bet there will be production delays and setbacks hurting everyone's access to their goods.

... As for my home and my property all trespassers will be shot on sight...
.
Frankly, that is an outrageous statement. You have neither a moral or legal right to "shoot all trespassers on sight." That kind of thought, expressed publicly, is one of the reasons the gun grabbers are having such success right now. Defend yourself and family, with deadly force if necessary, yes. Defend your property with deadly force, in those states that permit it (even though that will likely bring a ton of ****** down on you and your family), ok. Shoot a trespasser on sight? Go to jail for a long, long time, and you will not get one iota of sympathy from me.
