College Bookstore out of one book.....

I have decided after leaving college nearly 36 years ago to go back and finish my degrees in Education of Social Studies.

I doing one semester at the closest community college to take some required courses I never took and a couple of electives that will go toward my degree. Out of the six courses I am taking, the college bookstore was out of only one book....New Testament Survey.

I was assured that they ran out due to the huge number of people taking the course. The same thing happened last year.

I find that to be a cool and encouraging thing.

No offense.....

99% of so-called christians have NO bible knowledge whatsoever and unfortunetly they follow a false christ.

That book and class will only add confusion.
Don't bother.


BTW, my 7 year old son has more bible knowledge than any pastor of any corner church you can find.

And FWIW.......the OT unlocks the NT........without the OT the NT makes NO sense.

After 30 years of sitting in the pew of virtually every denomination (including catholicism) I took two years off to actually study the bible from cover to cover. I always knew I was being lied to, I was, so were you.

Church and college are where the lies are told.
One of my favorite verses on this issue......Isaiah 66:17. 66 is a warning to those post-Christ and pre-millennial. The one tree in the garden is the cross.
Grace is not an umbrella, your sins are not automatically nailed to the cross.
Knowledge.
Repentance.
Obedience.
Those are the keys to Salvation.

You cannot understand the NT without understanding the OT, God's plan for man.
The OT is NOT to be dismissed. (in fact there is not ONE verse of the entire bible that is to be dismissed)
4th Commandment...........and the 2nd.......read it.
 
Also......
Know who you are.

Decsendent of Abraham, heir to the promise of God, obligated to obey the Law of God.
You don't get out of God's Law........10 Commandments and the remaining ordinances. (clean meats, be unlike the heathen...etc.....)
And of course, the acceptance of Christ as Saviour.

I have said not a single thing in this thread to give you the slightest bit of information as to my amount of education, of the Bible or otherwise. All I said is that I was taking New Testament Survey. If that single statement tells you anything other than I am taking an elective, you must be psychic.....or Shoobee.

Though unlike you, I have used proper grammar, spelling, capitalization, and sentence structure. As educated as he acted like he was, Shoobee also wrote poorly.

Yeah, I'm proudly banned from there last week, badge of honor, but I'll be back. Hardcore over there but they have gone PC after the school shootings............I ain't PC.
