True, however, Kansas had major changes in the law in 2010 and the issue is whom the battery was against because, Misdemeanor domestic violence was added and there are cases which have been previously marked as battery that are being reviewed and licenses have been revoked, because it would have qualified as MDV if the law was in efffect when the battery had originally happened. If the OP case could have been classified a MDV, then he may not qualify. Like I said, He needs an attorney.
