Chuck Schumer is an idiot

I lived in NY for fifteen years and was able to get my Carry Concealed with no restrictions. I Am now happily living in Texas with a CHL and have no worries this state will pull it or that it will allow the Federal Government to do it either.

"Schumer cited statistics in Florida showing that before the law was approved, the state averaged 12 justifiable homicides per year. The average subsequent to the law's enactment was 33."

I wonder how many bad guys died as a result of those 33 justifiable homicides.

Schumer and all like him don't care as long as their power is not threatened. Legal law abiding gun owners are a threat to them because the politicians are criminals.

Another former NY carrier now living in Texas. I don't know all the most dangerous places but I know the most dangerous place in DC is between Scummer and a TV camera. He is all about the grandstanding and more than any other senator he is willing to dance in the blood if it furthers his own goals.

33. No wait......trick question. The real answer is "not enough".

The stats that Mr. Schumer refers to tell me that the law is working, hence the word "justifiable".

Schumer isn't just an idiot.....

That DumboCrapper (Schumer) isn't an idiot.....He's an a$$_hole!

I can't understand what it is about Schumer that makes people keep voting for him. How does he stay in office?

Everytime I see him, even talking about subjects I care nothing about, he makes me want to slap his ugly face. Of course I never would. That is, unless I didn't have a witness:):)

He is the epitome of why I can't stand liberals. He's like their poster child.

How does Schumer get re-lected? Well, a very strong, well funded Democratic machine centered in New York city, probably helps him a great deal. Remember, in his own words, he has a "passion to legislate." I have had the opportunity to decline to shake his hand on several occasions, when he was visiting a company I worked for, and my son, damn I'm proud of him, told the man he didn't vote for him to his face.

Schumer and his pal New York City Mayor Bloomberg are well known as anti-firearm people. Attacking States Stand your Ground laws is to be expected. The Florida Stand your Ground Law had nothing to do with what happened, it's just all the Attorney has and IMHO it won't get them very far.

I am proud of you and your son for letting him know how you felt about his so called "passion to legislate." I call it a passion against firearm ownership by citizens not involved in law Enforcement.

Took a while to realize this was a discussion...Based on the title..I really just thought the OP was stating a fact.....

Legislators like Schumer should be seen as giant neon signs for why we should be fighting to repeal the 17th Amendment as hard as we fight to protect the 2nd Amendment. People like him wouldn't last for two terms if they "served" at the pleasure of their states' governors and/or legislatures like was the case before the 17th was passed. The 16th, the 17th, and the formation and unaccountable, autonomous nature of the Federal Reserve to print fiat currency was the trifecta of death nells to America's survival. As irritating as Chuckie Schumer is, he is insignificant in the bigger scheme of things. Before the 17th was "passed" (you ought to look into how it happened - hint: it wasn't ever legally passed), a NY Senator telling another state how to order their own society would've earned him a b!tch-slap, at the very least, from that other state's delegation. But the 17th put emphasis in the Senate on party politics, not each senator's own state's interests, and senators now serve the Party, not their states.

"Taking back America" cannot happen as long as senators are elected, or as long as any of the amendments in the Bill of Rights are subject to the whims of Executive Orders or "laws" passed by a usurping Congress. Schumer is NOT dangerous by himself. He is only dangerous to our rights because we, as a People, have allowed the system in which he is simply one small cog, to deviate so completely from the precepts of liberty that our Founders intended to permanently preserve and protect by radifying the Constitution. In short, Chuckie Schumer is a product of our own failures as active protectors of our God-given birthright.

I'm all for a good leftist-bashing every now and then, and Schumer's as good a target as any of 'em. But he won't be the cause of SYG laws suffering over this manufactured "issue" surrounding Martin and Zimmerman, anymore than he'll be the one to blame for any UN-sponsored, international gun control that our own government helps to foist upon us. If we sit still for it, we will only have ourselves and our just-as-apathetic and lazy forebears to blame. Bellyaching about Schumer and his ilk will do no good at all. It appears some people will never get that until the Blue Helmets are going door-to-door in American neighborhoods enforcing UN "law" in direct contravention to our own Constitution. But the Blue Helmets won't even be necessary if we just roll over and accept such tyranny. A stroke of a pen is all it will take with Americans in the compliant, sheep-like state they've been in for about 100 years now.

Sorry, that's just the way I see it. Schumer is nothing. We have only ourselves to blame for him being allowed to wield power and authority over us.

Just adding for those who don't bother to reshearch:

Seventeenth Amendment to the United States Constitution - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

There is much misinformation at that link. I'm not knocking you for posting it, just trying to steer folks in a direction where they can find correct and accurate info on what I believe is one of the most important departures in our nation's history from the Framer's genius in writing the Constitution as they did. Much of that correct and accurate info was purposely hidden for decades, and people doing real research were persecuted, prosecuted and jailed in their attempts to uncover it. But they did succeed. It is chronicled here by a true Patriot Sister named Devvy Kidd.

Wikipedia is fine for factoids and trivia. However, its own process of endless editing by God-only-knows-who or what their agendas may or may not be, prevents it from ever being a reliable source for important issues. Just as a point of reference, look at what Devvy has to say about Alabama's role in "ratifying" the 17th Amendment, consider her documentation and proofs, and then compare that to what Wiki says and consider their sources and citations. The Wiki info is nothing more than blind acceptance of a work of fiction that Devvy proves was intentionally foisted upon the American public by our own corrupt and usurping government.

I realize this seems far off-topic, but hacks like Chuck U. Schumer having a firm grip on the reins of power in this country is only a symptom of the constitutional sickness known as progressivism. If we have to discuss such disgustingly seditious individuals, at least learn what makes it possible for them to have so much adverse influence over our supposedly "free" lives.
