Due to the recent news of a toddler abduction in Waterville, ME., I have several friends that are considering and/or purchasing handguns for home defense. Although this particular story is quite suspicious and seems like there is profound family disfunction surrounding it, it still brings this horrific reality close to home for many of my friends (including myself) since we live within a town or so from Waterville. This is really an atypical event for Maine, but here it is happening. Maine law is pretty clear upon which deadly force can be used when someone enters a home criminally and is certainly works in favor for the homeowner.
Protecting ourselves is a right, and the 2nd Amendment makes defending ourselves AND our family easy. Especially when *hit hits the fan, you're going to want to have a gun...bottom line. Train often, carry everyday.
