This is sad. Especially sad is the fact that they despise the wealthy but want to be wealthy. If these bangers only realized that talent plus hard work creates wealth I would have some hope. The majority of the folks in Beverly Hills did something to get rich. Only a few inherited.

You know, it's funny, I did not grow up in Beverly Hills either and I also needed/need to eat, I need money & my family wants fresh eggs everyday, We want all of that too.
But where oh where did I get the money that I needed?

I got a fkng J.O.B. and PAYED for all of those things on a lousy paycheck of $8.00 per hour!

And to think...
I have lived on my own since the age of 15, I also started in poverty and I never had to rob or steal or murder anyone to get those eggs!

It's sad to think that there are law abiding people with firearms who are looking forward to having to use their weapon for self defense.
I hope you never find yourself in a situation where you need to defend yourself. Imagine your comments on a big white board for the jury to stare at throughout your trial.

This thread is positively dripping with irony. Many of you are criticizing this article, and the interviewee for saying that killing is the solution, but that's EXACTLY what you say any time you're confronted with a problem. Someone breaks into your house, what do you do? Kill him. Someone assaults you. What do you do? Kill him? And maybe not so much right here, but ALL OVER this forum: Someone insults you, steals from you, calls you a bad name. What do you do? Kill him?
The solution to gang violence? Kill'em. The solution to drugs and poverty? Kill'em.
I mean seriosuly, the majority of people on this form are social Darwinists. You're just not used to hearing it from the other side of the tracks.

So, what IS the answer? Damn sure isn't the "War on Poverty".....17 Trillion dollars spent and still the same po' folks. Only 7 trillion spent on all wars from the Revolution to the Global War on Terror.

This statement is obviously wrong to the point of ridiculousness. VIOLENCE IS NOT ALWAYS THE ANSWER, BUT WHEN IT IS, IT IS FREQUENTLY THE ONLY ANSWER. Clearly violence is not the answer to every problem. Think.

Darned shame they can't get an education and pull themselves out of poverty. After all, there is no money put into the education system in the big cities. All of us white suburban folk steal that money and put it into the system for our kids. Sarcasm intended
Education is the only weapon to use on these people that has a chance of working and they just cannot get the concept into their heads.
Young black kid tries to get an education and his "fellow" youth chastise him for wanting to be white, just to discourage him into being one of the stupid people that he doesn't want to be. It happens all the time in the schools, everywhere there is impoverished youth that think they have no way out. If they can't get out, no one will.
And the gangs keep growing and growing because the member feel they have commonality and belong to something greater than them alone.
How do you break that kind of mentality? Obviously the leaders and citizens of Chicago have failed miserably.
