Chicago Roster of Unsafe Handguns

Let's see....

Chicago Firearms Company — Chicago Protector and Protector models (LOL... Made in Chicago!)
Hi-Point Firearms (Okay, that one makes sense... LOL)
Marlin (WHAT????)
Sig Sauer — Mosquito only (LOL... A 22LR auto.... wow)
Walther — P22 only (Same...)

What the hell is "unsafe" about a Walther P22, or a Sig Mosquito? Maybe threaded barrels???

All handguns are unsafe. That's what makes 'em so attractive..

I wouldn't own one unless it was dangerous...:sarcastic:

Thats quite a list, to bad it is only just a list(sic). Once it and Daly's ban are contested in court, Chicago and Daly will lose again! :yu:

here we go with the ban of a complete type/class of weapon again...
99% of these manufacturers and or models listed either specialize in or are manufacturers of DERRINGERS & or small caliber semi-autos...

I personally have some of those listed such as Bond Arms ...
100% Quality American Made In Texas and they rock for concealed carry especially here in Nevada in summer time... great pocket guns...
mine will fire .410, .45LC, .45 Scolfield...
.410 00 buck in a pocket howitzer means you can hardly miss when somebody tries to bum-rush you in the parking lot or in your house in the middle of the night in close quarters...
Bond Arms Welcome

IF they can ban one type/class of weapon they can ban them all!

Wasn't the decisions in Heller and McDonald part and parcel with the idea that they can't ban an entire class of firearms? Or was it that they can't ban all firearms, bar none? Like, as long as it's still legal for you to own a .704 Brunswick muzzle loader that's been plated in 24 kt. gold, then by some illogic, they haven't banned all firearms and thus are in compliance with the SCOTUS rulings?

You raise the very issue I have been reiterating over & over...

BOTH Heller & McDonald were both so narrow in scope and ambiguous that they leave too much subject to interpretation...

In short they said you can't ban a handgun in the home for the purpose of self-defense...

as much as it may seem beyond what is necessary they did not define what a handgun was or what defines self-defense or what other types/class of weapon was protected by the Second Amendment and they did not say what other purposes such weapons would be protected...

Tyranny In Government, etc...

In short they screwed the pooch...

The Second Amendment does not state "SHALL NOT BE INFRINGED"

Except...

IF your zip code is x...
OR your standing at y...
OR the type/class of weapon you have or desire to have is z...
OR if said weapon is carried openly or concealed...
OR what purpose it can be used for...

I wonder how many tax payer dollars were spent formulating this list?

I see they also banned my favorite pocket pistol. The American Arms derringer.
