Chicago 5 shootings Yesterday more Bans Needed

With well over 500 homicides last year, Chicago this year appears to be on track to be consistent with last years statistics. Clearly this is a state that is in need of more bans, already they have one of the most anti 2nd ammendment climates any where, so perhaps they should look at banning the liberal policies that got them there. Long gone is the value of human life there, long gone is the concept of working hard for what you have, especially when you can just take it from someone else. Dont wory you dont have to work, or be accountable for your own actions, the city has set it up wonderfully so that you can just take from the producers via taxaton, and if that doesnt work well the state has created a preserve where criminals have free rein.

Chicago is already the most corrupt city in America (just ahead of D.C.), and I firmly believe that changing the gun laws, while being a step in the right direction, won't do anything to reduce the murder rate. What needs to change in Chicago is the culture. Changing the gun laws without changing the culture won't stop gangbangers from shooting each other over territory, drugs, women, or feeling disrespected. Just a fact.

I agree because most of the killings are being done by thugs who don't give a hoot about any gun ban. They have their guns and they can get more if they so choose.

But...they ban 'assault weapons'...but....they ban weapons outside the home...but...you have to register the firearm and go through a saftey course to POSSESS a weapon in Chicago (in the home only)...should be the safest damn city in the country! We know better tho.

Chicago / New york / DC / California / couple other locations I am failing to remember.. are all places I refuse to travel too or through.. Even if I had guaranteed right to defy the local laws, had some awesome offer or career opportunity.. Id still refuse to go there..

Ditto that I was offered a nice promotion to go there and declined as I could never be happy in a place where the minority in cook county and surrounding counties are allowed to establish laws and proceedures for the rest of the entire state. Sure there are a lot of good people there you just do not hear about them all that often

Ironic that you should use this word... preserve... it fits exactly... ... the state has created a "game" preserve (gun-free-zone)... and these genetic deficients (who choose to violate the boundaries to shoot innocents) are the "poachers". Very good analogy, wcd!
