Yea, these are the major food group's, and were paying for these A$$ Holes.
 
From the looks of it we won't be paying for that person's food bill much longer! Of course, when one goes three will take his place.

It was my daughter's birthday yesterday, and we always get her the heart shaped pizza for her party from Papa Murphys, but as I was waiting in line, I noticed that the dude ahead of me paid for his 6 pizzas with food stamps. There was no sausage left. She does NOT like Canadian bacon.
 
It makes no sense that under one program,WIC, they can require only certain foods, bread, milk, certain cereals, eggs, etc but give free reign to everyone under the food stamp program. I guess women and children aren't as important to Obama as the poor are.

WIC is designed to provide nutritional requirements for a child where as food stamps is designed to keep the lazy fat and unemployed.

What I do not understand is why people on government assistance are not required to take random drug tests. Before someone on assistance gets angry with me, let me state that I'm on military disability (and work) and I frequently take and pass drug tests so any anger would be pointless if directed at me. Why do families where parents who are not working get rewarded for having more children? Why is this entire system bent on making people lazy, unemployed, and better off than working people who struggle?
 
Path of least resistance. That's what happens when a person, community, country trades character for convenience. There are so many without character or pride!

WIC emphasis is on nutrition.
Food stamps are subsidies for groceries.
Do we really want the Federal Government micromanaging so much of what we can and can not do? I don't. People on food stamps can buy whatever they want within what is broadly permissible, the consequences are theirs to be borne. If they buy a bunch of crap then they have no subsidy left for real food. Candy doesn't fill you up.

Are you sure the pizzas were paid for with food stamps and not TANF? My understanding is that you can not purchase deli, or restaurant prepared food with food stamps.

I think the rules and practices of the subsidy and public support system are just badly designed. I have no speculation why that is except bureaucrats seem universally to be devoid of common sense.
 
If you want a clark bar get of your azz and work. I don't want to pay for your chocolate fix. I'm tired of us pandering to welfare recipients who clearly abuse the program. More people would be working instead of on welfare if they had to wait in line for terrible government cheese like many years ago. Instead, Oh SNAP! I get to eat whatever. Look what Obama Claus put in my stocking this month, Clark bars!
 
It's also the marketing departments of the chain grocery stores. My wife and I were shopping Saturday and standing in front of the canned salmon in BiLo trying to determine the best buy I noticed the WIC approved stickers below each brand. A sticker about 1/2" by 2" for every brand except the most expensive. It was deboned deskinned and a can about the size of a tunafish can, Had a huge 6" X 6" sticker in front of it
WIC APPROVED. Marketing!
 
If they want "assistance" welfare money then they should be showing up at all the city-state-federal parks and picking up trash, mowing grass and fixing trails before they get the money !
 
Food stamps should be rationed out monthly, bag of rice, powdered eggs and milk, flour, canned meat, just the basics. It should be a program to help but not live off of. People should want to get off of food stamps. The mooches on food stamps, (not all recipients) need to know that they must work for life's luxuries. Or maybe our government wants to keep the American people fat and lazy, and yet tell us not to feed the animals at the national parks...oh the hypocrisy!

The problem is that they work, they may only be able to get a low paying job that will not be enough to pay the bills and feed the family. Once the government sees an income, the assistance stops.

So, Joe and Jane Schmoe both have good paying jobs that get hit by the recession and they find themselves out of work and few jobs to be had and none of those jobs near pay needed. They can either go on assistance and feed the family by sitting on their ass. It's not their fault if the job moves to China but it is the Governments fault for punishing them if they do want to work any job they can get even if it's not enough to feed the family. Now, if they then choose to have another child, then **** them and the horse they rode to the government office to pick up their check.

The government should help Americans before helping any other country. If the person doesn't want to help themselves, then the government shouldn't help them either.
