Checking Declared, Unloaded Firearm at State College Airport SCE

I have frequently traveled by air with a declared and checked unloaded firearm, with the TSA in all the cities being very professional and courteous. I am traveling to State College, PA arriving and then departing from the local airport (SCE). I know my airline will do it but is the TSA office there able to accommodate checking, declared unloaded firearms?

Thanks, that's a line from the movie Aliens, Ripley (the main character played by Signore Weaver) thought that was how to get rid of the nest of aliens.

Got back from my trip and want to report that Yes, the SCE airport in State College would be able to handle checking declared, unloaded firearms.
