Charter Arms Bulldog

I talked to Charter Arms yesterday. They said that the Bulldog will be available in .45ACP next year and that a southpaw version is under consideration.:dance3:

I had a Charter Arms Bulldog in .44spl many years ago (15+). It was a POS. Couldn't get it to bang the primers hard enough to make the round go off with any consistency..even replaced the main spring and still had no luck. Hopefully they have improved their products.

The Governor and Judge feels clumsy and poorly balanced to me. My Bulldog Pug has a lot of rounds through it with no problems.

My Stainless Bulldog Pub has been back to the factory 3 times for repairs.
Fortunately all were covered by the lifetime warranty.
All three problems could have been prevented by better quality control during
manufacturing.

I have learned to shoot really light reloads in the gun. It can't handle even factory
loads for very long without needing repair.

Maybe you will get luck and get a better one than I did.

Good luck!

QC is iffy. I got a Pitbull. Out of the box it actually would not fire. The fixed it; gotta give them that. But wow:QC QC QC
