Changes to Michigan concealed handgun law approved by state Senate

I am from Michigan, and I thought I'd mention that shortly after this news story, our Governor vetoed this legislation that passed both the state house and senate, and was supported by our pro-gun organizations. He said he wanted schools to have the "option" of banning concealed carry, even for those with enhanced permits, but speculation is that he vetoed it because he was asked to sign in within a week of the Newtown school shooting, and caved to fears of public backlash at reducing gun restrictions in Michigan schools so soon after the worst school shooting in years. Similar legislation has been reintroduced, and will likely be voted on at the next "lame duck" session.
