recently I downloaded a shot timer app (android) and have been loading a mag and a few snap caps random and not looking. When I hear the beep, I draw and fire two COM if i have a failure (snap cap) I rack as quick as i can and fire the next shot. People may already do this im just throwing it out there seems to be good for me, also it will tell you if your anticipating recoil.

As Cooper used to say, "what matters is where the bullet goes". highly skilled shottists show a downward 'dip" of the muzzle when they get a "no bang" when they expected a bang. Since they fire tight groups, it is not flinching, or if it is, so what? they do it CONSISTENTLY. :-) Jeff called it a PIP, for post ignition push,.

The downward dip from highly skilled shooters is generally the muscle memory they have acquired in order to put the gun that recoiled upward back on target. It happens after the trigger pull, therefore not affecting accuracy. I like Coopers term for it "post ignition push". :)

To the OP, this is a great drill and if I'm shooting with a friend, I ask the friend to load the entire magazine (with a random number of snap caps) so I can't anticipate when the snap cap will come. Good drill to always keep in mind to perform.
