CCW Question

Quick question for those who are familiar with CCW "rules"...

I live in Indiana and recently moved to another county within Indiana. I am looking to get my Concealed Carry Permit. My drivers license does not expire for a couple years (2.5 yr) and obviously lists my former address. In order to get my CCW at the Sheriff's office in the current county I live in, do I need to first update my drivers license? Or would it be easier for me to take a day off work and make a trip to my former county of residence and obtain my CCW there? Does it even make a difference? Just trying to avoid unnecessary hassle/hiccups in the process. Insight is greatly appreciated.

according to state laws ... you only have 30 days to have your d.l. updated with your new address anyhow..... just go to dmv and get it, then go to sheriff's office...

in michigan you have to go to your county clerk of the county u live in. however we can take our course in any county just have to file it in our county. if your address dont match the paperwork for the permit you may not get approved

You need updating postal, bills and everything else, might as well update ur I.D. at the same time so you dont have any hassle and save time for waiting on ur license to carry to get approved. I live in Muncie, IN(Dalaware county), and with zero problems in my app, i still waiting around 6 weeks for my license. That was 5 months ago so idk.. Good luck
