I have my NV permit (resident) and Florida permit( non res). I'm moving to Colorado and was curious if they issue permits to non-res.
Since you have a resident NV CCW it will be valid as long as your permanent residence remains in NV and you keep your NV DL (drivers license). If you decide to change your residency (DL, voter registration, etc.) to CO for duration of your education, your out of state CCWs will no longer be accepted in CO. The catch here in CO is that the law states once you take residence (live) and employment (full or part time) you're considered a legal resident and are required to obtain a CO DL or ID card and that of course would voide the validity of your out of state CCWs also.
I hope this helps. My suggestion is that if you're going to be here for more than a year just get your CO CCW.
CO does not recognize NV so this is not true.
