Has anyone have information the IL passing ccw/cpl law?

Currently Illinois has no carry, concealed or open. On December 11th 2012 the 7th Circuit Court of Appeals overturned Illinois ban on concealed carry, however it gave the State Legislature 180 to draft new legislation which would support Illinois residents 2nd Amendment rights. We in Illinois also known as Madiganistan have endured the most restrictive gun laws in the nation. As recently as today our State Senate was working hard to pass what would amount to a complete ban on roughly 70% of all privately held handguns and 50% of all privately held rifles. Senator Cullerton will try again next week to pass this violation of our God given right to self defense. The bills put forth today for the ban had nothing to do with guns but were amended to sneak the gun bans in. There is a bill up for consideration on March 20th HB0148 will be sent to the rules committee on that day. I suspect that Hell will freeze over about the same time we are legally allowed to carry in Illinois.

I thought and understood that since the court ruled it unconstitutional to not allow Illinois citizens to carry they now had 6 months to develop their law or the court would?

@lamerem you are correct the court did give the legislature 6 months to comply. In the majority opinion the court ruled the laws be remanded to the 2nd circuit for official declaration of 'unconstituionality" but granted a 180 day stay giving direction to the Illinois legislature to create legislation which will support rather than deny our 2nd amendment right to carry. The new legislature starts tomorrow we shall see what happens. As I was typing this news comes in that Lisa Madigan Illinois Attorney General and daughter of Michael Madigan Speaker of the House Illinois state legislature has filed a petition to have the 7th Circuit court of appeals "reconsider" the December ruling. See above answer regarding Madiganistan (Illinois) getting cc when hell freezes over.
