CCW classes all booked up.

I was online looking at the website of a gun range where I took my ccw class. Out of curiosity I decided to see how full the classes were. From April to June every ccw class was booked up solid. I thought people are really getting serious about their protection and I for one am glad to see that. All comments are welcome.

their classes are booked almost a month out.

A friend of mine recently went thru the NRA pistol course. They did learn a lot, but nothing I didn't already know. But now they do. This was CT and it was booked out 3-4 months ahead of time. Being retired, they were able to get a mid week course. Weekends -forever.

My wife just took her class. There were 36 in her class , but the interesting part is half the class were women! Good to see.

In NC, CHP applications are handled by the sheriff's department. When the wife and I applied years ago, we just walked into the ID department and told them we wanted to apply for our permit. We were done and on our way in less than an hour.

Now due to the number of people applying the virtually all sheriff's departments have resorted to an appointment system to complete the application and finger printing. In most counties the earliest appointment you can get is 3 to 4 months out.
