Ccw and vehicle question

This may be a stupid question, but it was something I was wondering about ...... If you have a CCW permit in Ohio, while you are driving does it still have to be like concealed as if you were walking (i.e. Shirt over it), our can you just carry out I'm a holster without shirt covering (open carry)....i heard since you are in a vehicle, the car itself is concealing

Any help with this would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

I know this is an Ohio question but here in Texas it still has to be concealed or covered. Basically out of view from those outside the vehicle.

They must be carried in the following manner:
(a) The loaded handgun is in a holster on the person’s person.

(b) The loaded handgun is in a closed case, bag, box, or other container that is in plain sight and that has a lid, a cover, or a closing mechanism with a zipper, snap, or buckle, which lid, cover, or closing mechanism must be opened for a person to gain access to the handgun.

(c) The loaded handgun is securely encased by being stored in a closed glove compartment or vehicle console or in a case that is locked.

All this per "JediSkipDog" over on OFCC forum.

But all that is in affect at this present time. SB17 takes those restrictions away after the Gov signs it into law and the 90 day wait time clears.

Since Open Carry is legal in Ohio, it doesn't have to be concealed whether you are in a car or not.

If you do not have a CCW, sitting in a car is considerd concealed and is illegal.

Right now you cannot have the gun in the open in your vehicle, it must be stored away or in a holster on your person. This may be changing soon.

However, the holstered gun does not have to be concealed. That is what I am referring to. My answers are in the context of what the OP asked, "If you have a CCW permit..."
