CC permit REVOKED

let me start by saying that , i do NOT have any felonies . no domestics . nothing . BUT... i do owen an escort service . not the kind for sex .. just strippers for parties . any ways .. some girl that i had fired is telling some local LE that i want to kill a cop .

now ..i have done some stupid @#$% in my life but i am not retarded or crazy . i have never even thought about doing something so stupid . i do not have a death wish ..so...

local LE came to my apt. asked for my CC lic. and gave me a letter from the Mississippi highway patrol . saying that my CC permit is being revoked based on a conflict with the GULFPORT POLICE DEPARTMENT . sign BY M/Sgt Lee Dixon .

does this sound right ..?? what should i do ?

First of all, be very careful about posting details to this public forum. Second, I'd hire an attorney who's familiar with CC laws of your state and see if you have any legal recourse. If you have the resources, you might want to consider pursuing legal action aginst parties who conspired against you once you get your CC permit back.

also ... she should have never known you were carrying ......... did you tell her? I don't tell anyone. My wife knows, and that could be a potential problem too.
 
I never tell anyone, even never tell my friends if I had a ccw license, only my wife. :no:

The people will making your license revoked or suspended. :fie:
 
You may wish to ditch the purple fedora.

The letter from the MHP didn't say what you did wrong other then a conflict?

Here are your rights. Perhaps find an attorney.

(7) (a) If the Department of Public Safety denies the issuance of a license, or suspends or revokes a license, the party aggrieved may appeal such denial, suspension or revocation to the Commissioner of Public Safety, or his authorized agent, within thirty (30) days after the aggrieved party receives written notice of such denial, suspension or revocation. The Commissioner of Public Safety, or his duly authorized agent, shall rule upon such appeal within thirty (30) days after the appeal is filed and failure to rule within this thirty-day period shall constitute sustaining such denial, suspension or revocation. Such review shall be conducted pursuant to such reasonable rules and regulations as the Commissioner of Public Safety may adopt.

whats the purple fedora ? the letter says nothing about anything being done wrong ...i do have an attorney. but i have to wait till mon.

they didnt know about my CC permit untill they came to talk to me and asked if i had any guns and asked to see my lic.
and then came back 15 days later with the letter and took my CC permit:angry:

Did you invite them in?? Did yo up plead the 5th?
Conversations with police can only work against you..
 
I don't know why the lis is revoked but something else that is being brought up more and more is some of the comments I see where NOBODY knows I have a permit.
Pray tell me why you hide the fact. I've had a ccw permit for almost 40 yrs and no I do not advertise it but I do not hide it..

Acquaintances knowing that you are armed really serves no useful purpose and, as demonstrated in the OP's current situation, can cause you quite a headache.

Of course, if you occasionally OC, then it really doesn't make a difference if you hide your CC or not.

I don't have a problem with it as long as they accept the advice that GF gave: Don't post anymore details on the forum and get a lawyer.

Therer is alot of good advice here at usacarry. Definatly listen to your own attorney... don't let anyone know you cc>>> In this case if the girl knew, it came back to bite him. I never thought about someone making trouble like that but I guess it can and does happen.
Some friends know I have a CCP but don't know whether I am carrying or not.
My biggest fear would be that I would be somewhere and was confronted by a BG and a friend was there that knew I had a CCP and that friend panicked. I can just see it now as the friend yell something like "do something!" or "shoot him!" or "show you him your gun!" You get the picture. My friends are not stupid but this is something that sure would make things interesting to say the least whether I was carrying or not that particular time. (carrying is not always an option because I live on the NY NJ border and travel between those states and my home state more times then not) Just one more thing to think about in the complicated world of CC!

If the OP obtains his permit, he should consider getting a pistol such as this. It would fit in the pockets of his fur coat.
