CC interfere with wallet?

This is going to sound stupid, but this is a genuine question:

I am preparing to become a concealed carrier. I have a crossbreed supertuck and a Milt Sparks VM2 for my Glock 26. I like both holsters, but If I carry at 3:30 or 4:00, which is where it seems to be most concealed for me, it interferes with inserting and pulling out my wallet. Does anyone else have this problem? How have you dealt with this? Have you switched your wallet to your weak side? See told you it would sound stupid, but I am really curious.

I switched my wallet to the weak side. One advantage, other than not interfering with your carry; is that if you ever have to produce your CWP to LE, your keeping your strong hand from the carry side. This can greatly reduce the stress to LE and keep you from getting shot by a nervous cop.

I've always carried my wallet weak side so no problem for me. It also helps when OWB carry too--when you pull your coat back to grab your wallet you do not expose the gun when the wallet is on the weak side

I switched my wallet. Originally I decided to move it to my weak side but it was super annoying. I had a tri-fold wallet but one day while standing in line at a clothing shop with the wife I saw a nice leather bi-fold wallet for $5. Figured I'd try it out for a few bucks. Ended up working out great. Although sometimes I do think about needing to reach for it for an LEO as Purple says above.

Same as the others, switched wallet. (Also move my phone to weak-side front pocket when not wearing pants with the second, lower "phone" pocket.)

My wallet also has a small two-window removable sub-wallet that I keep my drivers license, CHL, and a $20 in that I keep in my shirt/jacket breast pocket so I can easily get it without even getting close to my weapon.

Like many others, I've always carried weak-side. About the only issue with that is some minor interference with my spare mag when retrieving my wallet. But then I have an identical carrying case for my flashlight right beside it, so maybe no one ever notices. I never sweep the "hot" side for any reason.

I use the DeSantis E1 IWB. My strong side hand became ineffective when I suffered nerve damage. I used to carry my wallet on my weak side but now that it's my strong side I carry my G-26 at 7:00-6:30ish and my wallet at approx. 8:00. So there's no problem getting at either. I have thought that if an attacker is demanding my wallet it could be perceived as a natural response and not tip my hand.

I carry my wallet in my front pocket, weak side. I carry a spare wallet complete with expired license, credit card from a closed account, various pieces of nothing paper, old reciepts and about $12.00 cash. That spare wallet is what I might use to feed a thug if caught unaware, or for a distraction, and I carry it in my rear pocket on strong side. Since I carry at 3 o'clock the gun will not interfere with getting it although keeping it there will give my strong side hand the option of going to either the wallet or the gun based on situation. During my dry practice I'll sometimes verbally act out getting my wallet, getting the gun drawn or pretending to drop the wallet, etc...

I front pocket carry weak side, never really had to change as that is where I have always carried my wallet. But this is FAR from a dumb question because I know exactly what you mean. When I OWB carry I like it closer to 2-3 and it can interfere with accessing my right front pocket. Hell if you think that is a dumb question, I once almost posted about which pants have the best belt loop configuration, but someone beat me to it, so I guess that wasn't dumb either lol.

Enjoy the CC, you'll find a system that works....The funny thing is what you think you'll like now, will become what you like the least when you start

Still carry mine on my strong side, like cmj0968, I don't care who sees. I have been asked by LEO to see my license, just infomed him where my wallet was and took it slow....

This is a great question i have the exact problem. I too have started to think about moving my wallet because it hurts the back when sitting too long anyway.

This was my first post here and I am amazed by all the great information (and the encouragement and kind words about it not being a stupid question). Thank you all and I look forward to here the input of others and to participating on the forum more.

I'm right handed and keep my firearm at the 2 - 3 o'clock position. I always put my wallets on my reaction side, always on the front of my body. Keeping my right hand free to draw on my weapon side. I do not have a weak side :-)

I moved my wallet..didnt feel right. I switched to a shoulder rig and moved wallet back, felt completely natural.
