cc in South Carolina

Cc laws in South Carolina suck. Can't carry in any restaurants that serve alcohol...

Hopefully that changes after next year after Nov elections. Meanwhile concealed means concealed. Read FROM LUBYS TO THE LEGISLATURE .

I'm on vacation in myrtle beach. He'd to leave my sidearm in the car while stuffing myself at captain George's buffet. Mmmmmmm crab legs :p

I was actually talking to my state rep about writing/sponsoring a bill for open carry and he said that he would definitely do it, but they were working on the restaurant language first. So they are aware of it They just passed some changes but I think they had to remove "restaurant" language to get the rest of it passed. I'm afaid more about reciprocity because we say we "shall" issue non resident, but we really don't because non resident has to own a property in SC. That should not be if we are to expect reciprocity from other states IMO.

Leaving out CC in restaurants has rendered my CC use in SC to almost useless. I consider myself very SA aware and have never, ever, in 70 years had a reason for any kind of firearm for CC. The only 2 uses that I truly believe are my prime needs for CC are the restaurant situation (the idea of walking down a dark street alone or in a parking lot or garage, in order to retrieve my parked car is just asking for a problem), and driving my car (seems like you can never know what kind of crazed road rager is next to you). I rarely CC during my daytime comings and goings other than leaving it in place (sometimes) after exiting my car--that's it--not much for me to say as to how CC protects me in a very comprehensive way.
PS: To those who have found other threads to be of interest--I do not CC in the shower, in public restrooms, on roller coasters, or in bed with my lovely wife.
