Carrying with tucked shirt

I don't typically wear shirts untucked and I don't want to broadcast that I'm carrying, even though my state allows open carry.

I'm looking for a carry option that allows me to conceal without wearing an untucked shirt. I'm a guy so the bra carry isn't an option either.

My current weapon is too large for ankle carry. And I wear shorts frequently anyway.

Anyone know of a method that would work or do I need to change how I dress?

There are many manufacturers of IWB holsters that you can tuck your shirt in. One of my favorite is kholster.com.

The most comfortable I have found are Nate tactical. I can wear them all day. However all 3-4 o'clock carry of one bends over poke out

So I prefer appendix for that I have a blade tech.

There are many already named above. Most are hybrids of some type, leather with kydex, that use 1 or 2 clips to attach to the belt. I have used Old Faithful, N82 holsters, and 2A Holsters. They have been satisfactory for the most part as to concealment and comfort. The problem that I see is that they all attach to the belt with clips or loops that are visible. Unless belt and attachments are black, the attachments are obvious. "What is those clips on your belt"?

I have a friend who has worn the Brave Response holster that is currently reviewed on this site. I have never tried it, so cannot recommend it. She has worn it several months and loves it. Her husband also likes to wear it. He is a former cop. One criticism I have is that I would prefer that my backup magazine would be on the opposite hip from the gun.

May have found the solution on my own.

Urban Carry Holster - Black

I use Urban Carry. It is not a fast draw but with practice it can be done quickly. It is very conformable even when sitting. I feel it is better to have a weapon with you when needed than not have one at all. The bad guy will not know you have a weapon until it is to late for him. Good Luck and BE Ready and BE Safe.

Smartcarry is an awesome deep cover holster that you dont even need a belt for.... you can even wear with short or sweats, and it wont make them sag... Drawback is it is hard to draw when seated.

Supertuck Deluxe, velcro clips and a velcro backed belt will give you near 100% concealment while tucked.

+2 if concealing is your bag. LOL

Alternatively though, if I were still concealing and wanted to re-gear-up, I would probably go with Alien Gear's near-fully-copied but much less expensive design and just adapt Crossbreed's Velcro clips to the Alien Gear's leather backing plate.

For anyone wishing to investigate tcox's suggestion above, the best option for a belt with sewn-in Velcro backing that I've used is The Beltman. I've had mine for at least 10 years now. Wear it every day and most days open carry a full-sized .45 on it. No sags or folding over at all, and for the little bit that I do conceal anymore, the Velcro backing is there to use with my Crossbreed Super Tuck. Great belts.

The sure fire way is to buy a hot dog cart. They can be purchased used for a couple of grand. When you push one of those babies around, you can carry anything you want in it and no one is the wiser.

I used to struggle trying to carry four guns on me. I had a Ruger Super Redhawk with a scope on one hip, a .500 S&W on the other, a Colt Combat Commander on one ankle, and a Colt Python on the other ankle. Even then, I was woefully under armed.

Now I'm able to walk the streets with about twenty of my favorite firearms tucked away in my hot dog cart. I also carry no less than 5-thousand rounds of ammo, and even a re-loading press for extended gunfights.

And, of course, the hot dogs. It's nice to have a handy snack, whether you are in a gunfight or not.

Get a subcompact single stack like the Kahr CM9 or PM9 or the Glock 42 or 43 and pocket carry. Then you don't have to worry about the slowed down draw of a tucked in shirt.

I have an IWB holster that I use; I, like you, don't wear shirts untucked. An IWB holster keeps the weapon hidden enough that I consider it as a median point between concealed and open carry.

My experience has been the deeper the carry, the smaller the gun. I currently pocket carry a Ruger LCR and am toying with shoulder rigs for compact autos.

Tuckable IWB holsters are a no-go as the belt clips give it away. That urban-carry holster is even worse. Yes, I've tried them.

Nah you just have to worry about the back of the slide catching on the pocket. That's the only reason I went with a hammerles revolver instead of an auto.

Note the earlier mentioned combination of velcro clips and a velcro backed belt: Eric Villanueva | Crossbreed SuperTuck Deluxe Tucked In With a White Shirt.

Velcro clips that attached to the Velcro on the back of the belt does give me 99.9% total concealment in the AIWB position.
