Source? State parks and wildlife areas are still off limits. You can carry in national parks though.

I was at Lake Norman State Park today and firearms are prohibited.

The possession or use of firearms, fireworks, cap pistols, air guns, bows and arrows, slingshots or lethal missiles of any kind are prohibited.

NC really needs to revise this law ASAP. Of all places, why would they deny us the right to self defense in a state park.

All gun free zones (criminal safe zones) should be eliminated. Period.

Carry in state parks as well as restaurants that serve alcohol are on the GRNC agenda for the next legislative session. Here's hoping they are successful!
