I was more thinking along the lines of this...since I am doing campaign work, is it ethical.. Where i live, its probably assumed that im packing heat since i am one of two who OCs here daily. I did some canvassing today while OCing, and didnt get spit on finally. It was nice.
I am going to assume is it ethical to legally conceal a handgun? Can I ask, would it be ethical to carry a cell phone concealed? Is it ethical to carry a pocket knife concealed? How about concealing car keys and/or your wallet? Why would a handgun carried for self-defense be any less ethical to conceal in a legal manner?
You can say that a right to do something should exist, and the right to do something is being infringed upon by the government and should not be, without engaging in that activity yourself. Gay marriage is a good example. I am sure there is a huge number of 100% heterosexual people who support gay marriage.
