Carrying in the Outer Banks

Hello everybody, I am A Michigan resident with a license to carry a concealed pistol, I will be in Outer Banks for vacation next week. From what I've read a large part of the Outer Banks are National Seashore which would fall under national parks, with the firearms ban being lifted for national parks I am under the impression as long as I carry in accordance with NC law I should be ok am I correct in my understanding and is there anything else I should know? I appreciate any feedback.
