Carrying in Illinois

I'm originally from Illinois, but made the wise decision to move to Texas where I can carry a firearm to protect myself and my loved ones. Does anyone know if there is anything in the works to allow license holders to carry in Illinois, say, if I were visiting family? I realize as of now that I cannot legally do so, but was just wondering if anything is trying to get pushed through to help make it legal for those of us that value our lives? Thanks!

Don't know how it is now but used to be even having an NRA sticker on your bumper would get you hassled. Right after MO passed a CCW permit, they were just waiting for some dummy to cross the river packing pistol.

I am with Iam2Taz -- you have left. Stay there. Killinois is a different country. And btw, welcome to this forum. You will like it here I am sure...

I miss the food !!! But not gun rights ! Thank you Chicago pols !!! When will you learn ? When all the law abiding citizens leave ? I think we know the answer .

We have a couple of lawsuits and a bill in the state house but I dont think The Peoples Democratic Republic of Illinois will ever stop doing everything it can to stop you from exercising your God given right. Which is why I will be leaving this state as soon as I can retire.
