Carry on Motorcycle

Do any of u guys or girls carry while u ride? I havent yet but am thinking about. Only had my permit about a year now.

I carry everywhere it is legal for me to carry except swimming. We rode to California and back last spring and I pocket carried.

Carry on my motorcycle all the time. Being concealed, no one knows I have it. Have not had to travel to any states that does not recognize my permit yet on the motorcycle. That will be the next hurdle. Protection while riding is just as important as any other time. Ride and stay safe.

carry the same way I do every day. But since I ride year around (yes, I live in MI), not a stretch for me. As previously stated, concealed is concealed. Friend of mine OC's when riding. No one seems to notice, but then a dark handgun in a black holster on a black motorcycle tends not to stand out.

I carry as well on my bike, primarily IWB with a longer shirt tucked under on the saddle with no problems. I wear one size too big shirts anyways so it tends to blow and blouse in the wind so it's no problem.

Yup, I carry.

Usually IWB, but sometimes in my tank bag (which I remove and carry with me if I leave the motorcycle.)

If you look you can probably find a leather mc jacket with a "pistol pocket". I have one and it is the easiest way for me to carry. I have also OC with a hoodie on or a blazer. But in OK you can OC.

I live in Washington. I carry while I ride my 2004 Yamaha R1. Right side owb openly carried just like I carry everywhere else.

This is the most comfortable way for me to carry allowing me to focus on what's really important when I ride. It also allows me to access my firearm when I'm going to and from my motorcycle while wearing proper protective jackets and gloves, and allows me to wear proper sized pants that will stay on if I were to crash.

I do IWB on both sides, and practice regularly drawing from both. Motorcycles are tricky to ride without at least one hand on the handlebars, and an immediate emergency would likely be on my weak side (left) since I stay in the right lane as much as possible, leaving my strong side to control the throttle/bike. Otherwise, strong side if stopped or right side issue. May sound like overkill, but makes sense to me.

You plan on drawing a firearm while riding?

I always carry-usually IWB-while riding, no different than any other day. I ride almost daily in the summer. My biggest problem is trying to plan ahead for the rare "no carry" destinations. I REALLY hate having to remove my CC weapon from my person to stash it somewhere less safe. Just doesn't feel right being without it anymore.

I can't imagine trying to control a MC and a handgun at the same time. Well behind my skill set. I would want something to have good access when I got off the bike as well as making sure it was secure when riding and in the event if a accident. I had a accident last year and it gets bad very fast. I was also unconscious for a time. I'm not sure I would want my handgun coming unsecured and being helpless.I was not CC at the time. It really does deserve some serious thought. I'm just saying for me the ability to fire my weapon while riding my MC is not on my list of needs.

I have several different methods of concealed carry on my bikes.

- 5.11 holster shirts - these are very comfortable and I usually carry a Springfield XDs 45 or Sig P229 40 S&W in them.
- Biker vest with a concealed carry compartment - very comfortable but I only wear it around town as I want more crash protection on trips.
- IWB in a SuperTuck or Galco Royal Guard - not as comfortable as the other 2 options but not bad. It's a little slower to get to the firearm with all my gear on though.
- Fanny pack - this is only for my dirt bikes and they fit in really well as they're commonly used as tool packs by other riders.
