Carry in all available states

How many permits or which permits do I need to carry in all available states? I live in Minnesota.

With your Minnesota permit and adding both the Utah and Florida non-resident permits, provided you have the means to do this, you will have a total of 36 states you can carry in. Of the remaining 14, you could in theory get non-resident permits in all but three. California, Oregon (issues NR to neighboring state residents only) and Illinios (no carry allowed). I say in theory because some require employment or property ownership (NY, RI, SC) in the state to qualify for one, so that would depend on your situation. Hawaii has it on the books but there are no known NR carry permits issued in that state. Neveda requires that the training take place in the state. The remaining states (CT, ME, MD, MA, NH, NJ) will all vary in how easy or likely it is to get one. New Hampshire isn't that tough but New Jersey is almost impossible for a NR.

Im also a MN guy. Go with Florida costs $115 vs the Utah $60, but is good for 7 years instead of 5 and overs all the states of Utah plus Florida. You dont plan on going to Florida than the Utah will do an save the $$$

It isn't technically possible to carry in all available states since several of them don't recognize out of state and/or non-resident licenses, or have other restrictions that prevent you from qualifying. cgiven1 pretty much covered it.

Arizona is another that will give you about as good a coverage as you can get. Meeting the training requirement can be an issue, but there are several exemptions, such as having a permit from a state that has a training requirement.

Uhmn, what States are currently unavailable and why? ;-)
Check out cgiven1's post above and view the carry maps on this site. One state doesn't allow carry by anyone and some states don't recognize out of state and/or non-resident licenses. Still more states make it difficult if not impossible to get one. You don't list your location in your profile so there's no way for us to determine where you are allowed to carry.

The training requirement for Arizona wasn't that bad. They accepted my NRA Basic Pistol course certificate and my husband's CA hunting license. Now, if I could just get my county in CA to make it as easy, I'd be a happy woman.

The "why" is their state laws.

My point may have been missed here ;-)

I think all the States are available, otherwise I don't think they would still be in the Union. I know where the OP was going with this but it was just worded quite strangely.
