I have a carry conceal for target and hunting in new york and have had it for a year. I took the advanced course and qualified at the range. After a year I applied for my unrestricted.. it was declined. I had a misdemeanor a bad check 36 years ago and a disorderly conduct that was thrown out also 36 years ago. These were disclosed when I got my target and hunting carry permit. What gives. The sheriffs department told me not to contact the judge who issues or declines the permits? Any thoughts?
