Carry at the fairgrounds

I seem to recall reading that it was legal to carry at fairgrounds. I think that would be OK anyway, because they usually only serve beer rather than mixed drinks, and I think a class "D" liquor license is for mixed drinks (I don't drink at all, so I admit I am uninformed in this area). Can anyone comment on whether I am correct on this in Ohio? My family and I really enjoy frequenting the fairs in our area from July to September, and I would like to know if I am on safe ground to carry in that instance.
