Good question, I was wondering the same. My next question is why would you want to get advise on a career? That is solely up to you. Some love the law enforcement and others don't. If you are interested in becoming a LEO maybe start out as a reserve officer, at least then your not in a contract if you decide its not for you. Good luck in whatever you decide.Treo:304219 said:What does being an "avid CC'r" have to do w/ becoming a cop ?
I am currently toying with the idea of becoming a LEO. I do not have any military background but I am an avoid CCer. I was wanting to know any pro's and con's that like minded people had. And maybe get some advise on what to expect in doing this.
no problem stay safe if you have anymore questions just askThanks for the feedback zacklmpd. I was hoping to get comments and tips from current or retired LEO's to get started. And I said I an an avid CCer so maybe you could understand I'm not a complete idiot when it comes to firearms. Anyway thanks for the tips. I only need a few more college hrs to be considered for our local PD.
