Car seat holster

I have a car seat holster that positions the firearms directly on the front edge of the car seat, very easy for me to reach quickly, but...I am not sure if this would meet the "concealed" provision in Missouri Law.

I don't know either. But I do know I hope you have your hands in plain sight if you ever get pulled over for speeding ect........ That just may make an LEO kinda jumpy. Just saying.

Each state has its own code of laws. I would tend to believe (it certainly is the case in SC) that this holster is not acceptable. I would think that the only way to meet car carry laws and still have a quick and viable method to present your firearm is to have it CC on your body with a holster that has enough adaptability to be moved to accomodate your position in the car and its seat belt.

It's all about the cant..

I've found that, for driving, a hip holster canted forward "FBI style" sitting at about 3:30 works for me. It puts the gun at an angle where a straight up right-hand draw is possible. You just have to make sure your cover garment (coat, vest, or whatever) isn't snagged between gun and seat belt.

Makes me wonder if that's what the FBI had in mind when they decided on the unusual "butt forward" holster style?

That's legal here in Ohio. What kind of rig is it, it looks like something I'd be interested in. It's hard for my fat-ass to reach my pistol when I'm driving.

Looks like a viable option. I am undecided as to whether the BG might look into the window and decide that the empty holster meant that this was too dangerous a target or that there must be a gun locked up in the car. I guess either is possible depending on the BG.

My choice is a BUG in a concealment vest.
