I have read, a few times in the last couple of days, statements that, in Illinois, if you carry your pistol in a vehicle, the ammunition has to be stored in a separate place from the gun. That is not the case. The ammo can be in the same place (glove box, console, vault, etc.) as the gun, but the gun must be unloaded.
Hope this clears up any confusion.
