Car accident: What to do to secure firearm?

Exactly, and the grammer/ how to type people as well. lol. I seem to get it alot on here.

Im looking into a safe from gunvault for the car. Its a little compact one for about $30 bucks. this way i can lock it up where ever i choose and can take it out of the car as well.

Whtsa this about seplling and rammer? People miss spelling things or abbreviating things on the internet NO please say it's not so! WHO CARES it's the internet not a english report or a job application.

The gunvault safes are nice but overly priced.

If I was in a crash and had to be transported to the hospital, leaving no one I personally know to secure my firearm, I would feel most comfortable putting it in the hands of an LEO for safe keeping.

Depending on the seriousness of my injuries and how quickly I would need to be transported from the scene, I would obtain the LEO's name and ID# for follow-up when I got out of the hospital. (The LEO's in my area, routinely provide you with their name and info, either written down or by giving you their business card.)

I like this safe since I can remove from vehicle and hook to bed in hotel room when I'm in town for business and can't carry my weapon or have in vehicle either.

It's small but hold my 3 inch 1911 and two spare magazines.

Too small for my needs and the company didn't make a larger one. Ended up going with a Console Vault (but a lot more expensive). :cray:

Obviously a BG can get it out with a wrench or a crowbar but he'd have to work at it and it'd take a little while. And, as Chap noted, can also be taken into a hotel room and affixed to something solid.

12 gauge steel, retractable cable and weighs about 7 lbs or so I'd guess.
