Can't push the slide all the way back on my Arcus 98DA

I took my brand new Arcus 98 DA to the range for the first time yesterday (it shoots quite well, by the way) and after church this morning, I disassembled it, cleaned it, and oiled it up. While reassembling it, I was unable to slide the slide all the way back. The culprit seems to be a lug of some sort (right above the safety switch in the picture below) that is sticking out enough to make it impossible to move the slide back any farther. How do I fix this?

If its a pin that has backed out, use a small punch and hammer it back in.

Have you tried to take the slide off, fire it, and putting the slide on?

Yes I have. Still a no-go.

Ya if you've tried letting the hammer down the just tap that pin back in. Should be no issue.
