Can you paint a bolt?

I've got a Remington 700 with a HS stock and duracoated barrel and I'm wanting to paint the visible part of the bolt to match the stock. Will that cause any issues? I'm not painting the main lugs at the front of the bolt, just the round visible part. Thanks.
