Can anyone ID the gun used in Hawaii 5-0?

The main character on the new TV series Hawaii 5-0 carries a blued pistol with a flashlight all the time. I can't make the gun but am guessing it's a sig. Can anyone Identify it?

This got me thinking, I only have one handgun and think I want a second, I have my Kimber Pro Carry II in stainless. I want a blued gun with a rail to mount a light/laser combo to carry at night. Who here carry's a gun with a light/laser? Is it cumbersome? It seems like it would be.

If I can find a still shot of the gun in question, I will post it, no luck so far.

Here you go.

Hawaii Five-0 (2010) - imfdb :. guns in movies :. movie guns :. the internet movie firearms database

That has all of the firearms used in the TV show.

Really? You have Grace Park to look at on that show and you notice guns ?

Oh, I noticed her but also the gun, PLUS, if I said anything about Grace, and my wife found it, I would be strung up from the flag pole.....Not really- totally kidding, I have a better marriage than that.

Thanks for all the info, I figured a sig.

On the second question, does anyone switch from a daytime gun to a nighttime gun with a light/laser?

Why would you want to switch between a "daytime and "nighttime" gun? Select your primary gun and learn it well. Having a gun configured for "nighttime" could prove useful during the day. A couple of scenarios that come to mind would be an encounter in a parking structure or in a building and the power goes out.

Just my thoughts.

Great site. Now I am sure my eyes were not playing tricks on me, I though I saw some gun switches but now I'm sure of it.

kk the main character is holding a sig P226 e2 has a stainless slide and nitron coating, his non railed 226 is a west german folded slide I can tell you by the picks that the "unknown gun" Foto ( scroll down on the web site that was posted) is a sig p220 or 226 elite in all stainless with hogue grips. and grace parks is holding a Kel-tec PF9 was given to her in the first episode when she made the team.

Tbone, what is that unit crest? It looks very familiar

That show has already jumped the shark for us. Everything is just a little too ridiculous and convenient, just like CSI has gotten.
The end of the road was the last episode when McGarrett magically applied face paint for his man hunt, and then while he was rigging up the swinging log trap also managed to take a phone call on the other hand from his partner and calmly talk about another totally different situation at the same time.
Give me a break.

Unit crest is for the 112th field artillary unit, which i was a member of was attached to the 50th armour division until about 93 currently attached to the 42 infantry division. IE Rainbow

The face paint was mud. You're right about the other stuff

Thanks, It looked very similar to the unit crest for 3/11 FA from Ft. Lewis

In my humble opinion you are making a great mistake in putting the laser on your ccw pistol. A home defense pistol is different.

When I went to the glock armorer school it was pointed out that by the time you get your red dot on me in the area you want to fire, the bad guy will have shot you multiple times.

Please remember in a self protection situation you are falling back on muscle memory to know what to do.

Tunnel vision has kicked in.

Hope this helps

my favotite handgun

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

For home defense it is a glock 19, I keep several extra loaded mags with it.

For ccw purposes I carry daily a ruger 380 in my pocket, when I go out I put on my estastic wrap around and put my 5 shot smith airweight with concealed hammer.

The concealed hammer stops it from snagging when being removed.

I am a great believer in carrying what is comfortable and what I will not find inconvenient to wear.

Hope this helps
