In lieu of guns, people who find themselves in dangerous situations at or near the University of Arkansas at Little Rock should defend themselves by glancing and nodding, said a university safety expert.
Earlier this year, the Arkansas legislature approved a concealed carry law, but gave school administrators permission to override the law and ban guns on campuses. Most Arkansas universities, including the University of Arkansas and Arkansas State University, opted to prohibit concealed carry, according to The College Fix.
But disarmed faculty and staff members are vulnerable to attack when traveling to and from campus, according to a chain of emails sent between UALR staff members, one of whom was assaulted by three teenagers on his way to class

I can see it now, first you nod at your attacker....then you get attacked....then your attacker nods back at your corpse.

Maybe they should give everybody on campus an official police whistle! Yeah that'll fix it. That way when you hear the whistle you'll know where the show is.

It never ceases to amaze me how faculty, with as much college credits and degrees and letters behind their names, can be so stupid! Or is it uncaring?

Gotta watch those attack glances and assault nods. They could get you in trouble. There's been a lot of folks lately who have had problems because they tried to defend themselves. When I was in high school, my father used to occasionally mutter about moving to Austrailia, but that's changed, too. Where can you move to now where you can depend on yourself and your friends? Facts haven't kept up with Heinlein's universe; you can't move to the moon yet.

It was actually the campus cops who suggested to look at and nod "so they know you are aware of them". She was borrowing, very badly, one of the basic rules of self defense, to be aware of your surroundings and any potential threats so you can move to avoid the potential threat. She forget or didn't want to identify what is supposed to follow "awareness" which is be ready to defend yourself, for CCL holders that means be ready to pull your firearm.
- -What they want for these kids and teachers who have been or may be attacked is to give the BG the "evil eye" hoping that will scare them off. Dumb PC idiots. This is the same garbage as the "rape whistle", puking or urinating on yourself, don't fight it, etc. Their answer to park on campus and take the trolley is asinine. How many college students have part time jobs that makes that impossible? Is it going to take a killing, abduction, permanent injury to a well-known teacher or student to wake them up? I suppose they are afraid of the liability if they allow CC and somebody gets injured. I would argue, under no concealed carry on campus rules, there is a much greater chance of someone being injured or killed by the BG's than by a CCL carrier. And, the BG's would be less likely to try something if they thought someone was carrying.
- -I just hope the first person attacked that has a CCL license but is unable to defend themself because they can't carry on campus would sue the U of LR for allowing them to be attacked. The young woman with a Nevada CCL who testified at the Colorado campus carry hearings was just in that situation when she was brutally raped within sight of the campus police station on the U of Nevada campus. She was chided by a legislator that she would have probably been killed anyway by getting her gun taken away. She responded that, with 100% certainty, that person would not have raped her, he would be dead. Not only was this woman raped by this pervert but so was another and a third woman was raped and killed after her attack! The ones deciding to prohibit CC on campus need to consider if their college son or daughter had means to protect themselves with a CCL but left their firearm at home due to campus rules, and was savagely beaten, killed or raped. How upset would they be if their child was not able to protect themselves? All parents and students who are gun owners or CCL holders in Arkansas must take a stand against their Universities prohibiting protection allowed by state law. And, I repeat, if a CCL holder is injured or killed due to this stupid rule, sue the University for everything possible for failing to allow protection allowed by state law!

The last I looked, Switzerland is the safest place and gun ownership is over 50%.

Ah the morons are in charge, let me know how that works out for you ass holes. I will nod and drop you like a hot rock, so long ass hole. I have a college degree and can shoot.

When attacked with deadly force or the threat thereof; shoot and then nod as you walk away unharmed.
