Call Multnomah Co for appt

I sent in my CCH application last Thursday, got a letter yesterday with an appointment at the end of October. The date and time wasn't going to work so I called, the person I spoke to was very nice and told me right away they had some cancellations this week and next and she rescheduled me for this Friday! Just a note for those applying in Multnomah County, try calling the number when you receive your letter!

I also went in a few weeks ago and applied at Clark County, they say they can take 60 days anybody know how long it actually takes to get?

I am in Oregon too. Rural county. I took my class in April then went in person the next day to drop off my paperwork and get an appointment. I was told that their office does not accept the applications until the appointment time. When was the next available appointment? 20 weeks! Yeah, I just had my appointment this week. How long until I get my CHL card in the mail? They told me 90 more days! Yep, 230 day total wait time. Apparently our county can only process 100 applications a month. I will be happy to out them as soon as I get my CHL in hand. I don't want to complain and get sent to the bottom of the pile in the meantime. Oh and I have had my Utah permit for 10 weeks now.

If you think it is worth your trouble you might show your sheriff ORS 166.292 "(1) If the application for the license is approved, the sheriff shall issue and mail or otherwise deliver to the applicant at the address shown on the application, within 45 days of the application, a wallet sized license bearing the photograph of the licensee."

After I went to get mine finger print it took about three to four weeks.

Usually Two weeks for Clark County. We'll see how long it takes for an Oregon one.

I just sent my application in to Multnomah and they sent me a written response within a couple of weeks. My appointment is likely going to be in February because of the Holidays. No problem, I just want to have the permit to go to the ranges in Portland. There just aren't any pistol ranges that I can find in Clark County.
